Our Main Goal
The Vikings Helping Hands Program (VHHP) was created to assist high school students facing hardships. Students that are in need of food, clothing or needs that negatively affect their ability to focus on school work may be eligible for assistance through our program. High School students that are in serious need can complete an online application and present proof of his/her need. All applicants must be enrolled in high school, and have a state issued ID as well as a school-issued ID. VHHP is designed to partner with local businesses that wish to sponsor students in need based on their ability to do so. VHHP works with local businesses/organizations that serve as partners in the program. For a student in need, a little help can go a long way.
The VHHP initiative has checks and balances: treasurer, organizational leader, organization promoters, etc. Each application received from an applicant will be reviewed by the review team and scored. If an application receives a score of 80+ points, the application will be accepted and processed. The program targets underprivileged high school students. Program administrators will also use the platform to promote student safety in and out of school.
Asking for help can be hard for some people to do. It may seem like a waste of time or just too personal of an issue to share. The only way to know if we can assist you is to reach out to us.
When you become a Vikings Helping Hands partner, you're participating in making student's lives better. There are lots of great causes to donate to, but giving young adults assistance in a time of need is one of the most important acts of kindness you can be involved in.
